French fries
French fries are a type of fast food made by potatoes. They are mostly ate with ketchup and salt. The origin of French fries was tracked in Belgium in the late 1600s where historians claimed potatoes were being fried. According to local Belgian lore, poor villagers living in Meuse valley often ate small fried fish caught in the river. American soldiers stationed in Belgium were first introduced to French fries during World War 1. As the official language of Belgium army was French soldiers nicknamed the delicious fried potatoes “French fries” The name stuck, and decades later we’re still giving credit to the wrong country. French fries contain potassium, fiber, magnesium and vitamin B6 and C. There are option available today for them to be oven baked and low-fat fries etc. They are popular everywhere and are available in most restaurants. I enjoy eating them and more than half the world enjoys them too.
